ABOUT DONALD EASON
Donald Eason is a husband, father, pastor, and businessman. He was raised in Southwest Detroit by a single mother and became the first member of his family to attend college, earning two bachelor’s degrees, and a master’s degree in public administration. He has worked as a senior consultant for Mutual of America, as a business development manager for CH2M Hill Engineering, and from 2016 to 2018 he served as special assistant to the president of Hillsdale College, working to develop and launch Barney charter schools. Donald has been a minister of the Gospel for over twenty years and served as senior minister to Fall Creek Parkway Church of Christ in Indianapolis for eight years, and currently as senior minister to COC on Higby Street in Jackson, Michigan. Donald has also served as chairman for the National Forum for Black Public Administrators, as a board member for the YMCA in Detroit, as a board member of Detroit Second Chance, and as a board member of the Concerned Citizens of Southwest Detroit. He and his wife, Phyllis, have been married for 32 years and they are the proud parents of 3 adult children.
